Ways You Can Give
"What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?"
Matthew 16:26
Wills and Bequests
A charitable bequest to Tabernacle Baptist Church in your will is a joyful statement that celebrates your commitment to the church. In making a bequest to Tabernacle you may:
- Designate a specific amount
- Designate a percentage
- Designate a specific item such as a security, real estate, artwork, etc.
- Establish a Testamentary Trust with income retained for your heirs for a period of time and the remainder to the church or with income to Tabernacle and the remainder to your heirs.

Charitable Gift Annuity
A Charitable Gift Annuity is a contractual agreement in which you or a beneficiary will be paid a fixed payment for life in exchange for your irrevocable gifts of cash, securities, or other assets to Tabernacle Baptist Church. This method of giving includes valuable tax benefits for donors, but perhaps more valuable than the financial advantages is the satisfaction donors gain by helping to continue Tabernacle's mission and ministry.
Charitable Remainder Trust
The Charitable Remainder Trust is similar to other types of trusts except that it designates Tabernacle Baptist Church as beneficiary. The usual features are that you will receive income benefits every year for your lifetime, and perhaps for a second beneficiary as well, before the gift becomes available to Tabernacle Baptist Church.
In the right circumstances, a charitable remainder trust can increase your income, reduce your taxes, unlock appreciated investments, rid you of investment worries and ultimately provide very important support. There is also the satisfaction of knowing that a significant gift has been decided upon, without giving up income for yourself or financial support for a loved one.
