Worship Ministry

Robert Webber observes that worship is a declaration of the mighty deeds of God's salvation in Jesus Christ. As a result of what God has done for humanity in and through His only unique Son, the Lord Jesus, believers are moved to offer sacrifices of praise.

Tabernacle offers a balanced service of worship each Sunday morning at 10:30. This worship hour permits God's people to come together and rehearse the old, yet ever relevant story of salvation. Tabernacle is not so much concerned with style as it is with substance. Each worship experience is, hopefully, designed to bless and honor God. Worship is not about and for us. Rather, it is about and for the God who created us for His good pleasure.

Music is paramount to our worship. Instrumental music - organ, piano, keyboard, and praise band, along with an orchestra from time to time - provides moments of euphoric inspiration. The singing of hymns, psalms, spiritual songs, praise choruses, and anthems enables a poetic expression of praise to take place. Choirs, ensembles, soloists, and the congregation provide lyrical adoration of melodious sounds to the Lord.

Drama, scripture readings, confessions of faith, symbols of Christianity, floral arrangements, colors, banners, and sermons provide the means whereby this declaration may take place. Worship is participatory at Tabernacle. Members of the congregation, from children to adults, are invited to assist in leading worship in various ways each week.

Preaching at Tabernacle is uplifting and challenging. Messages are contemporary, relevant, and biblical. Through the preaching ministry, the good news of God's love and hope is proclaimed in a fresh and practical way that impacts and empowers today's people.

The goal of Tabernacle's preaching is to change lives by fostering redemptive relationships with God and each other and to inspire God's love in action.

As you face life's issues and daily problems, you will be blessed, inspired, and spiritually lifted by the dynamic and powerful pulpit and teaching ministry at Tabernacle.
