Spanish Ministry
At Tabernacle Baptist Church, we believe that all people need to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ no matter what language they speak. Those in our community who speak Spanish can now be ministered to in their native tongue through the Spanish Ministry at Tabernacle Baptist Church.
We are a welcoming community of ordinary, broken people who are called to love God, one another, and our neighbors near and far. Our Vision is to reach the Hispanic population in the community for Christ, working along side the Anglo congregation, ministering to the first generation of Hispanic speakers and incorporating our children, who are English speakers, to the Anglo programs of the church.
We would love for you and your family to discover what God is doing at Tabernacle Baptist Church through the Spanish Ministry! Bible study begins at 9:15 a.m each Sunday and a Spanish worship service is held at 11:00 a.m. We also meet each Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. for Bible study. Other ministries are also available for the needs of this group.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to preach the Gospel to every individual, in every country to which God may send us. To this end, we undertake the Great Commission that Jesus set forth in Mark 16:15:
- To win the lost to the Kingdom of God.
- To preach and teach the Gospel and train others to do the same.
- To minister to the poor of Central and South America with tools and humanitarian aid.
- To connect together and strengthen local native pastors and churches to win the lost.
At Tabernacle Baptist Church, you will find a strong emphasis upon the Spanish Ministry with these important themes:
- JESUS... preached as the only way of salvation. "There is none other name... whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
- BIBLE... the grass withereth, but the word of God standeth forever." (Isaiah 40:8).
- WORSHIP and PRAISE...our sanctuary is filled with joyous sounds of praise and adoration. "Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." (Psalm 150:6).
- PEOPLE... of all ages... children, youth, singles, young married, adults, senior adults... all are important here. They are people for whom Jesus died; people with whom He is building His church.
- MISSIONS... is at the heart of all we do. "Go Ye" is our mandate. Through the corporate program, mission projects, and personal evangelism, we are daily reaching out with the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.
Outreach Programs
As a fundamental part of our mission, Tabernacle's Spanish Ministry organizes outreach programs in some of the most impoverished communities. So far our works have been in South and Central America. Our vision is three-fold:
- We assist local Pastors to further their work by supplying Bibles, medicine, clothes, support, and building projects.
- We have our Spanish Pastor personally going overseas on mission trips.
- We link the Christians in our home churches and the Christians of South and Central America.
Current Projects
In keeping with the teachings of Jesus Christ, we labor to bring all peoples unto Him, and we strive to enable people to make their own communities stronger. Currently, we are involved in a number of projects:
- Feeding Stations for children in Honduras.
- Organizing and supporting a growing International Intercessory Prayer Group in Chiapas, Mexico.
- Supporting two Pastors and their churches in Cordoba, Argentina.
