Grades 1-6
Leaders of the Children's Ministry for grades 1-6 at Tabernacle count it a privilege to have a major role in the life of your child, and covet the opportunity to teach them about God and His son, Jesus in age-appropriate ways.
We do this through Bible Study, Children's Worship, Missions Education, Discipleship for Life (DfL), Choir, and Special Events.

They learn about other missionaries and begin to apply mission principles in other areas of their lives. To learn more, visit the Girls in Action and Royal Ambassadors websites.

Vacation Bible School is a week full of surprises, as preschoolers and children experience "hands-on" learning that teaches them about God. Nothing beats Vacation Bible School for Bible adventure and summertime fun! VBS is usually in June and is for children beginning at 4 years old.
VBS Camp is designed to extend the VBS day until 3 p.m. This camp is usually based on each year's VBS theme. Contact the Children's Ministry office for costs.
Fall Festival is typically held on the last Sunday night of October. It is designed to give the family unit a time to celebrate the fall season. It is a church-wide outreach event that enables Youth through Senior Adult Bible Study departments to work together on a booth that provides age appropriate activities for children of all ages. This is truly a fun evening.
5th and 6th Grade Retreat: Children who have completed 5th and 6th grades experience a two-day retreat jam-packed with fun-filled recreational activities, crafts, and Bible study. Mission experiences are also included that challenge these preteens to give to others.
Parent's Night Out is a ministry to parents. One evening each month, parents can leave their children at church so that they might enjoy an evening to do shopping, go to the movies, etc. Activities based around a central theme enable children to do fun and creative activities.
Summer Activities. Children of all ages are welcome to participate in day trips, week long camps, and retreats. There are regularly planned activities on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer.
