Administration at Tabernacle Baptist Church is more than policies and procedures. It is not simply paperwork and bureaucracy. Church administration refers to the people process of moving the church forward as it follows God's leadership. It is the foundation on which each of Tabernacle's ministries and programs are grounded and provides the framework that enables, strengthens, and empowers Tabernacle's ministry in the community and around the world.
Administration is a spiritual gift given by God for the building up of the body of Christ, thus making it relational and missional, not simply institutional. Because God's purpose for Tabernacle will only be fulfilled though its members, administration focuses on people as it enables church members to be on mission with God and serve more effectively and efficiently. Programs and policies, while necessary, exist simply to serve people and free them for ministry.
While administration is part of all programs and ministries at Tabernacle, some ministries are more administratively specific, including stewardship and financial management, facility maintenance, food services, office and clerical support, technology ministries, transportation ministries, and the many committees that function to ensure that the church continues to be on mission.
